The Standard Bank Angola recorded in the first quarter of this year, a net profit of 468 million Kwanza, which corresponds to an increase of 210 percent, says a press release from the institution that reached Angop on Monday in Luanda.
According to the document, the income earned during the period under review amounted of more than AKZ three billion, compared with 1.376 billion Kwanzas in the same period of last year, reflecting on the increase of about 20 per cent.
The assets of Standard Bank Angola increased from over AKZ 83.9 billion registered in the first quarter of 2013 to over a AKZ 106.7 billion in the same period this year.
On the occasion, the CEO of Standard Bank Angola, Pedro Pinto Coelho said that the bank entered a phase of return on investment over the previous year, stating that "these indicators will continue to grow until the end of the year".
Standard Bank Angola has currently 27 branches operating in the provinces of Luanda, Benguela , Namibe , Cunene , Cabinda and Kwanza Sul.
