Making waves: Stanbic swimming team earns eight-medal success

Demonstrating the power of teamwork and wellbeing, Stanbic’s swimming team delivered an outstanding performance at the Nairobi County Swimming Association Gala, bringing home eight medals.

At Stanbic Bank, we believe that excellence extends beyond the workplace. That spirit was on full display as the Stanbic swimming team delivered an outstanding performance at the Nairobi County Swimming Association Gala held on 13 and 14 June 2026, earning an impressive eight medals and demonstrating the discipline, resilience, and teamwork that define our people.

The team brought home a total of one gold, three silver, and four bronze medals, a remarkable achievement that reflects months of dedication, training, and commitment to personal wellbeing.

Led by coach Stewart Maleya and lady captain Jackline Oyuga, the team comprised Emily Adhiambo Okonjo, Joel Njuguna Gachanja, Caroline Mbugua, Tom Momanyi Onkoba, Beatrice Gikonyo, and Wanjiku Ngugi, whose collective effort contributed to the team's success.
